Stories on our adventures in the United Kingdom are forthcoming. I haven't posted anything yet because I'm still adjusting to normal life after the peculiar circumstances of the past month. First, three wonderful weeks overseas that we weren't quite ready end, then a death in my family shortly after we returned.
Adventure and death are strange bedfellows. If I were to write anything now, it would be a confused jumble of empty rooms in the night, the glory of mountains, the occasional despair of solitude, joy at encountering history face-to-face, the grief and terror of seeing death. I'm smiling one moment, grieving the next.
