I watched The Fountain last Friday night. I don't know what to think of it. It didn't quite work for me, and I wanted it to. The conquistador part didn't fit in with the rest of the story.

I agree completely! I just watched a few minutes of it again (to hear the music) and felt the same lack of excitement as the first time.
